Amanda Gummer

PhD, PCHE, BA (Hons)

Amanda is a member of the British Psychological Society, the National Toy Council and is involved with policy making around children's issues through think tanks and various parliamentary groups.

Her career has always involved children and education: Amanda was an Associate Lecturer in child development with the Open University (2003-2006). Prior to that she managed Faust Educational Services in Hong Kong where she designed educational games and schemes of work. Whilst studying for her PhD, Amanda volunteered as a childcare worker in a Woman’s refuge where she raised the standard of facilities for children by introducing structured play and innovative, educational games for the children who were not at school.

As a mother of two young girls, Amanda also has a real understanding of what parents and children want. Amanda is involved in a plethora of child-focused projects on a local and national level, and has a business philosophy which is socially and environmentally responsible.

 Sarah Williams 

Sarah is a qualified solicitor, specialising in family law. She is now a full-time mother of three and is involved in several children's organisations in the area including toddler groups, Wheathampstead Playgroup and two local schools.

 

 Lucy Price 

Lucy has a degree in Business Studies, and the post graguate diploma in Marketing. She worked in blue chip companies until she became a mum. She is now mum to three children 13,11 and 8, and a Parent Governor at local primary school, member of the Parochial Parish Council, a junior church leader, a pre-school children's group leader and parent helper in her son's primary school. She was also chair of a parent fundraising group for this school for four years.
